Between February 2024 and March 2026, the ADAC.io project supported Alliance4Europe in developing the DISARM Red Framework, a taxonomy for classifying techniques associated with information threats. This included integrating feedback from practitioners, responding to changes in how disinformation campaigns operate, and adapting the framework to work more effectively with emerging technologies, including AI-supported analysis.
What has been accomplished:
- Updates to the DISARM Red Framework, including clearer and more practical classification techniques,
- Improvements to supporting tools and user resources,
- Contributions to related technical standards,
- Better support for sharing and comparing analysis across organisations.
These updates will make it easier for analysts to consistently identify and describe disinformation activities, work more effectively with others, and communicate findings more clearly.
The report also outlines next steps for the continued development of the DISARM framework and its wider ecosystem.
