As part of strengthening knowledge-sharing and capacity-building in the field of information resilience, we are pleased to share the latest educational resource developed under the ADAC.io project.

Developed by Dr. Timo Lenk, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute & School of Journalism, TU Dortmund University, this is a university-level course module to teach about information manipulation and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI). The module includes a structured course plan, with resources and a series of presentation slides.

The course consists of 14 thematic modules, covering:

  • Core types of information manipulation (disinformation, propaganda, conspiracy myths, and other forms)
  • Spread factors including post-truth culture, manipulative rhetoric, psychological bias, and network dynamics,
  • Information manipulation campaigns (structures, techniques, and frameworks for analysis)
  • Short-term and long-term resilience-building, including countermeasures and the roles that institutions and citizens have to play.

The materials have been piloted with two seminar groups during the winter semester and are now being shared with the broader academic community to support further dissemination and use.
